So as you may re-call from a previous blog, my coach kicked me out of my swim group for 2 weeks, I am still oblivious how this is a punishment for not going to practice. But that is beside the point.
So Friday was my first night back and that night we went for a short run and then played Ultimate Frisbee. It was going good. So as we are playing someone is running right in front of me and they trip. While falling forward, their foot flies backwards; I, still running, accidently kick them in their heel. Instead of hurting them, their foot basically forces all my toes back into my foot. It hurt so bad. I automatically get to thinking, "Oh my god, swim season starts Tuesday, I can't swim!" "This sucks, my first day back!"! So I ice it and proceed to get in the pool and continue to practice only using my left foot, much harder then you could imagine. My left leg felt like it just ran a marathon after practice.
So I go home and rest it and just chill with Harry Potter and wait to see if it is any better in the morning. The next morning is our school's intrasquad meet and I wake up excited for that but quickly realize that I will not be participating in it because my foot hurts much worse than the night before. I ask my Dad if he will drive me over to the doctor and we go. He takes me and I get an x-ray and what not, ends up just being some bruising on the bone. Tells me to continue to ice it and it will be fine in a couple of days.
Phew. That would have sucked if swimming just ended like that.
Note to self: Do not kick anyone in the heel, hurts like hell.
Thanks for caring.
